CHP Exhaust Condensing Heat Exchangers

ROTARIA Exhaust gas heat Exchanger with condensing technology

The new ROTARIA condensing heat exchanger allows the use of a larger portion of exhaust gas heat than previously possible with conventional heat exchanger technology.

In the heat exchanger, water is sprayed into the exhaust gas stream, thus heating up while cooling the exhaust gas.

Compared to “normal” heat exchanger technology, a CHP plant delivering 600 kW of electrical power can yield an additional 100 kW of thermal energy when cooling the exhaust to 95°C and an additional 280 kW when cooling the exhaust gas to temperatures below the point of condensation.span>
